Description

After analyzing examples of propaganda (1234), have students look at Paul Revere’s The Bloody Massacre and discuss the meaning behind it. Compare how the British side is portrayed with that of the colonists. The propaganda poster assignment asks students to create their own propaganda poster about an issue from either the Patriot or Loyalist perspective.

This is a great way to teach students about the influence of media and the need to consider perspective and bias when evaluating sources.
